What mainstream large corporations can you think of in the next 10 seconds? Wal-Mart, Starbucks, Apple, just common household names, right? Now, what small businesses can you think of? I’ll give you the same 10 seconds. Drawing blanks? Maybe you’ve named one or two, credit is given where it’s due. Small mom and pop businesses are not household names for many; however, they are the backbone of our communities. Supporting small and independent businesses serves to highlight the pivotal role they play within communities and the economy.
