Quality Health Care is NOT for All

Health Care Quality in Time of Pandemic               It is time to celebrate our advancement in medicine and care provided for patients. Overall, our achievements have improved patient outcomes for many diseases and conditions. One cannot argue that 2020 has been an extremely difficult year with respect to the pandemic. However, there is a silver lining. For weeks many of us were asked to stay at home, work from home, do school from home, and only go to the grocery store when necessary. Behind the scenes  there were health care workers, scientists, biomedical engineers, and so many more professionals working together to test, discover, and create treatments and care to combat COVID-19. We must be thankful the quick speed that we can now make ventilators, an immune boosting cocktail, and medicines to provide quality care to all those affected by COVID-19. Vaccines are in the pipeline and being worked on with a speed and commitment to bring relief to millions sometime in 2021.
