Compassion as a Compass in the Workplace

This pandemic has challenged all of us and taught us that there are still aspects of life that can upend us and have us turned around and wonder what we are going to do next. We are more aware of the suffering of people that have either lost their jobs and/or lost loved ones due to COVID-19.  We’ve seen violent acts of racism and heard stories of how this pandemic has made the lives of people who live paycheck-to-paycheck even more difficult.   According to the newest report b the American Psychological Association, “despite several months of acclimating to a new reality and societal upheaval spurred by the COVID-19 pandemic, Americans are struggling to cope with the disruptions it has caused. Nearly 8 in 10 adults (78%) say the coronavirus pandemic is a significant source of stress in their life.  And, 2 in 3 adults (67%) say they have experienced increased stress over the course of the pandemic.
