National Human Rights Month

Celebrating the Importance of Human Rights this December             Human rights: they are the basic freedoms that everyone on this planet deserves for the duration of their entire life. Human rights are based on values like equality, respect, and independence. These rights protect us and allow us to have our own opinions, education, privacy, family life, and demand respect for a good quality of life.             Protecting and knowing these rights are important for everyone, which is why countries around the world now acknowledge National Human Rights Month every December. Following the devastation of the second world war, the United Nations created the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in 1948. Translated in almost 500 languages, this document illustrates the indisputable rights that belongs to every human being, regardless of race, ethnicity, language, religion, or political and social origin. Unfortunately, some people are still being stripped of these basic human rights around the entire world.
