While the holidays can be wonderful, they can also bring a great deal of stress into our lives. The first antidote to holiday stress is to remember what is truly important. 2021 has much more of the usual hustle and bustle of past holiday seasons (pre-COVID), but we must not forget the important life lessons we learned last year: to embrace the simple, to reach for those we love, and to rejoice in the holiday spirit. Hold on to those lessons and carry them forward. They will continue to serve us well.
The second antidote to holiday stress is to be a little more proactive in keeping yourself calm and centered. As Oren Jay Sofer says, “Any amount of balance, calm, and love we can bring to our lives is a gift to those around us”.
